Sangrur/Sunam/Joginder/ August 14 /- The 80th Independence Day was celebrated with full enthusiasm, zeal and patriotic spirit at Acadia World School, Sunam, a prestigious educational institution of the area. This event became a beautiful opportunity to remember our freedom fighters and their great sacrifices for the country and to instill a sense of patriotism among the students.
The event began with the unfurling of the tricolor by the school principal Madam Ranjit Kaur. After this, the national anthem was presented, which filled the entire atmosphere with the spirit of patriotism.
On this occasion, various cultural performances including patriotic songs, speeches, Bhangra and role play were performed by the students of class VI. The stage management of the program was done well by Sukhmanjot Kaur and Ryan.
The melodious patriotic song presented by the students of class VI touched the hearts of everyone. Apart from this, the emotional role play presented by the students effectively depicted the lives of the soldiers protecting the country, their sacrifices and the feelings of their families.
An impressive speech related to Independence Day was presented by a student of class VI, Gurmanvir Singh. After this, a passionate Bhangra was also presented, presenting a glimpse of Punjabi culture and heritage, which added vibrancy to the event.
Class VI teachers Jobanjit Singh, Miss Deepanshi, dance teacher Aman and music teacher Preeti had a special contribution in the preparation of this entire program. Due to their hard work and the dedication of the students, the event became memorable.
On this occasion, the school principal Madam Ranjit Kaur Ji said in her address, “Freedom is not only our right, but also a big responsibility. Such programs make the students aware of patriotism, responsibility and their duties.” He appreciated the students and teachers for their excellent performance.
Addressing the students, the school chairman Advocate Gagandeep Singh Ji said that patriots gave us freedom by making immense sacrifices. He said that students are the future of the country and can also express true patriotism through initiatives like keeping the country clean, conserving water, reducing pollution and protecting the environment.
He said that such events help the students to understand that freedom is not just a festival, but the result of countless sacrifices and struggles. The school is constantly making efforts to instill in the students the qualities of responsibility, patriotism and becoming good citizens.
At the end of the event, the presence of all the staff members and students of the school further enhanced the grandeur of this national festival. The entire event was filled with the spirit of patriotism, enthusiasm and national unity.
